hey, you, sit down and let’s have a chat
i know you’ve been feeling kinda sad
you’ve been going through some changes
in a sp-ce of growth out your normal range
but i want you to know you’re doing great
even if it feels impossible to shed the weight of your past
you have made tremendous progress over the last few years
even through your laugh, tears and fears
take a second and acknowledge your growth
be happy, be sad, it’s okay to feel both
no shame in the game of life
the rules are confusing so break them and rework the game to avoid strife
just be happy of how far you come
and everything you have overcome
everything you’ve done has led to where you are
from where you started to, it’s not bizarre
you have taken steps to improve yourself
taking accountability and not putting you or your needs on the shelf
that is something you should proud of yourself for
because facing yourself can be a difficult chore
just remember to be easy on yourself always
and christ makes everything possible, always
never give up on yourself, no what matter what
and if people ger mad at your growth, tell ‘em to shut up
