not sure you understand disability
from diagnosis, to stigma, to mobility issues
it’s a rough process to go through
yet the only “inconvenienced” party is you
where is your compassion for the common man?
don’t be rude but you’re not required to be a disability community stan
take me for example, i’m a man but there’s more to me
i have cerebral palsy, adhd and epilepsy
yet you wouldn’t guess that about me because i don’t let it show
more people have disabilities than you know
that’s what some of us are because of people like you and your ignorance
you think your voice on the issue has the most significance
you don’t understand disability and it shows
your logic has holes
disability isn’t the real shame
it’s your attitude towards them and you should be ashamed

let’s take your atypicism and see who’s more real
we have to accommodate everyone around us by conforming

you dismiss, minimize and criticize
but you never actually realize
what it’s like to have a disability
have have limited cognitive or physical ability
until you have one, and even then
some of you downplay and call it a moral failing or a sin
you call them lazy for being on snap, ssdi, or ssi
why don’t you walk in their shows and try
to understand what they go through
oh, wait, trying to understand disrupts your worldview

you need to understand something and do so now
because i figured you were ignorant but wow
your ignorance never seizes to amaze
but it always manages to drive us to a craze
you fake support for the praise
then offer cyclical criticism
and are full of cynicism
some of us are too, but there’s a difference
we try to work within our mobility
meanwhile you discriminate again disability
