not a prophet, not a prominent historical figure, nor a philosopher

to witness the patience, tenacity, and depth of faith

then i sent myself down into the abyss
that i still struggle to defeat

i look up, but i do the opposite
first, i lose my patience
then, i become depressed
and now, i am an apostate

i look back
and realize how peaceful, full of happiness the past is
where i could just look up, and did my best

the further i look back
the brighter nostalgia seems to be
like the big bang

and now as i am heading towards heat death
i could only hope to radiate a glimmer
of whatever left of myself
if the universe could feel anything
would it feel the way i feel?

in this chaotic, uncertain era
as if it has never been chaotic and uncertain
of course entropy keeps increasing
because existence is due to increasing entropy

we are all children of the universe
isn’t it fitting that our phenomena is so fleeting
seeing ourselves is just as magnificent as seeing supernovae
each of us is a way the universe experiencing itself
and we are the feedback loop

the universe is our master, is it?
and its laws are set, aren’t they?

who cares about the universe and its laws and what it wants
i know what i want

i want to be closer to the person i look up to
the only way is the way forward
out of the abyss
but i am not worried too much
because we are all going to the same direction
no matter how wrong each our path is
we will return to our master
and perhaps be reborn

my friend, who is far away
i am grateful to have known you
as the beacon of my life
i have no regrets

if i have the depth of your faith
and conviction as great as yours
i wish one and only one thing
to be reunited with you
even if i have to wait for eternity

eternity is not infinity
there is no such thing as infinity
i believe
