had a confrontation with this guy filled up with irritation
he didn’t want to have real conversation
he was online for defamation

he was the kind of guy
who was starting pointless fights online
to try to undermine their rights
this kind of guy who would deny who we’re inside

he could not be seeing what he was believing
wasn’t really what makes a human being
there was no meaning
he was just being demeaning

he had a bunch of dirty words and basic slurs
thinking of it it was just absurd
but not unheard of
he was not the first
and not the worst

all this hatred, i could just escape it
just log of and never face it
but the case is
they still had to take it
they were wondering if they’d make it

it was so unfair to see
the fear that they
would have to bear and breathe
yet they were strong enough to share all this
but never got the care they needed

wish i could truly explain
what it’s like to see this pain
destroying these beautiful
people who were truly bold
i’ve never seen someone
managing to be so strong
but i’ve never been so wrong
thinking they were not alone

’cause we were many then
all trying to help a friend
sending wishes, sending thoughts
hugs and kisses, sent a lot
so when they had it rough
we all told them “you are tough!”
but this help is just a bluff
likes and comments ain’t enough

you need to embrace what this is
i’m guessing you will say this is crazy
when you face the fact that the bullies
were chasing them in all the places

if you do not get it fully
if you cannot see it truly
the reason for all this crueling
it is easy just to blame it on a bully

this is a bigger picture
not just a bully, here’s the lecture
this is much richer, you cannot be a fixer
if you cannot see the structure

you can say it’s sad but true
and that is why i ask of you
to see what this is, that abuse
it happens through
the p-ssive use of att-tudes

effort isn’t feeble when we know we have to
see people as people
and treat them as equal
we have a free will to do both good and evil

laughing at people for who
they are, judging how they look
always contributing to
societal ridicule
it’s common here to be
condescending to those we
do not comprehend fully
and it’s k!lling, gradually

and i hope you have a pretty good reason
to justify the reason why
we got online all of the time
to see if they were still alive
