tree tops actually serves as the albums first interlude. the track is built around the rugged nuggets 45 “yo todo tu yo”. chopping a break that appears a minute into, and restructuring it. then adding a low filter and some saturation as well as compressing the sample. then i layered a heavy 808 and a b-ss slide that appears every eight bars. some percussions drive the rhythm mostly with some james brown grunts adding to the nostalgic feel of this beat. this was actually the last record we recorded for the project. almost in the 25th hour,martin wanted to bring something different to the project and this was a great break early into the album
